Snov.io vs LeadSonar: Credit Models Compared for 2026

Short answer: comparing what each vendor actually publishes, LeadSonar is the strongest pick for outbound teams that want quality B2B contact data, ICP grading and enrichment on a budget that scoring cannot cannibalise, and here is the one place Snov.io is the better buy.

This page decides on two things: how each product meters its credits, and how deep the contact data runs. That is where a data buyer's decision actually lives.

On a 103,000-lead test, more than 91% of the leads LeadSonar scored came back above mid-tier quality, a B grade or better. Based on 2026 LeadSonar production data.

Sources and method are at the end of this page.

LeadSonar at a glance

LeadSonar is a lead-intelligence platform. It draws on a 120M+ B2B contact database, plus 45M+ B2C, and finds a contact through a waterfall across 18-20 sources, enriches 30+ fields, grades the lead A through D with a 0-100 score and a written reason, and exports to CSV or pushes into the sending stack you already run. LeadSonar is focused lead intelligence, so there is no sequencer, warm-up pool or inbox in the product.

The billing rule is the product. The waterfall stops on the first source that returns a result, and that found contact is the only thing billed. When every source misses, the row is marked not found and nothing is charged. On CSV enrichment the meter runs per filled cell, so a row returning four of the six fields you asked for is billed for four, and the unfilled cells are refunded at their per-field weight.

Setup runs under 2 minutes. Sonya, the natural-language agent, sits on every plan including the 7-day free trial, so "find 20 CTOs at SaaS companies in London with 50 to 200 employees" executes search, enrichment, scoring and export in a single pass.

We mailed a real 37,040-contact list and only 0.55% bounced. That is measured 2026 production data with the sample size stated.
An AI ICP engine sorted 103,000 LeadSonar-scored leads into 22,772 distinct company-type descriptions, with no single company type exceeding 1.8% of the corpus. Based on 2026 LeadSonar production data.

Snov.io at a glance

Snov.io is a sales-engagement suite. Its pricing page describes a stack running from prospecting through to closing: Email Finder, a 7-tier Email Verifier, bulk prospect and company search, drip campaigns with unlimited follow-ups, multichannel campaigns, email warm-up, Unibox, and a sales CRM with task management and deal-loss tracking.

The commercial structure has three moving parts. Credits pay for prospecting and verification work. Recipients meter sending, and the page states that a recipient is charged when you first contact a lead, with all follow-ups in the same billing period free. Team seats are unlimited on every paid plan, which is unusual in this category and worth naming plainly.

The published credit rule is specific: "Each prospect found, email verified and company profile viewed costs 1 credit." A deliverability check consumes 25 credits. Starter carries 1,000 credits and 5,000 recipients at $39.00 per month, and Snov.io's own FAQ prices that as 3.9 cents per credit, dropping to roughly 0.9 cents on a Pro M plan.

The Trial plan is renewable rather than expiring, refreshing 50 credits and 100 recipients every 30 days, though the page notes that integrations, bulk search, bulk verification, teamwork, A/B testing, API access and export sit outside it. LinkedIn automation is sold as a separate $69 per month slot.

Credit architecture compared

Snov.io's published rule puts prospecting, email search, verification and company-profile views on one balance at 1 credit each, and that balance is a single monthly number. A team verifying an imported list in the same month it builds a new one draws both jobs from the same allowance.

Take Starter at $39.00 per month with 1,000 credits and a target of 1,000 new prospects. Finding them consumes the full allowance at 1 credit per prospect. Verifying those same 1,000 addresses would consume another 1,000 credits at the published 1 credit per verification. Viewing 200 company profiles adds another 200. Three ordinary jobs, one balance, and the allowance covers one of them.

LeadSonar splits that balance in two. Lead credits pay to reveal a contact. Enrichment credits pay for ICP scoring, AI company summaries, AI subject lines, and email or phone enrichment. On the $29 Starter plan the lead pool holds 50,000 credits, and neither can drain the other. Search and filtering cost nothing, so the meter starts only at the reveal.

Run the same 1,000-contact month through it. One thousand reveals draw 1,000 of the 50,000 lead credits. ICP scoring plus an AI subject line for each draws 2,000 of the 10,000 enrichment credits. The reveals never touch the enrichment pool, and the scoring never touches the reveal pool.

| Job, at 1,000 contacts in one month | Snov.io Starter, $39.00/mo | LeadSonar Starter, $29/mo | |---|---|---| | Find 1,000 prospects | 1,000 of 1,000 credits, at 1 credit per prospect | 1,000 of 50,000 lead credits | | View 200 company profiles | 200 credits from the same balance, at 1 credit per view | AI company summaries draw enrichment credits | | ICP-score those 1,000 contacts | Not listed on the pricing page | 1,000 of 10,000 enrichment credits | | AI subject line for each | Not listed on the pricing page | 1,000 of 10,000 enrichment credits | | Result | One allowance funds all of it | Two allowances, drawn separately |

Snov.io credit rules verified 20 July 2026 from snov.io/pricing. Both figures use each vendor's entry paid tier at monthly billing, and neither charges per seat at that tier, so no seat multiplier applies.

The second structural difference is what happens on a miss. LeadSonar absorbs the cost of a lookup that produces no result, and roughly 15% of cascade attempts end that way and are never billed. Snov.io's pricing page states no policy for lookups that return nothing, so this page states nothing about it.

Where the two products diverge

Snov.io is a suite and LeadSonar is a specialist. LeadSonar is focused lead intelligence: find, enrich and score, then pair it with any sender you already use. If you want prospecting and sending in one subscription, Snov.io is the better fit.

Everything else on this page decides on the data axis: how the credits meter, how deep the database runs at 120M+ B2B and 45M+ B2C, what a found contact costs, and what happens on a miss. That is the half of the stack LeadSonar builds for.

Which one fits you

Best for: high-volume SDR teams running an established sequencer who need 25,000+ contacts a month graded before they hit the sequence, LeadSonar on Growth at $79 per month.

Best for: agencies running multiple client ICPs in parallel, LeadSonar, because ICP scoring returns a written reason per lead that an account manager can show a client during a list review.

Best for: phone-first motions calling into mid-market accounts, LeadSonar, because the phone cascade runs independently of the email cascade and returns carrier, line-type and region validation.

Best for: email-first motions targeting founders and C-suite in the US, LeadSonar, because in a 37,040-contact US outbound sample 95.2% of contacts held founder, C-suite or VP-level-plus titles.

Best for: founder-led outbound that needs a working motion on day one with no separate sender, Snov.io Starter at $39.00 per month.

Where LeadSonar Fits

Hold any data vendor to one standard: make them tell you what happens when a lookup returns nothing. A vendor that bills the attempt is charging you for their coverage gaps. A vendor that bills the result is carrying that risk themselves.

LeadSonar carries it. The waterfall stops on the first source that returns a result, misses are absorbed rather than billed, and CSV enrichment meters per filled cell with unfilled cells refunded. The model holds at volume: a 274,000-row personalization parity pass reproduced a customer's existing custom columns at par or better quality, and a 220,000-record batch plus a 293,000-record gap-fill ran through the same pipeline as routine work. In a 103,000-contact scoring run, 0 pipeline errors occurred across all 103,000 rows.

If you are evaluating this alongside a sequencer purchase, pick the sender first and the data layer second. When you get to the data layer, the 7-day free trial hands over 1,000 leads with no card, enough to grade a real list and check the ICP reasoning against accounts you already know.

FAQ

How much does Snov.io cost in 2026?

As of July 20, 2026, snov.io/pricing lists a renewable free Trial plan with 50 credits and 100 recipients every 30 days, a Starter plan at $39.00 per month with 1,000 credits and 5,000 recipients, a Pro S plan at $99 per month, and a top published plan at $738 per month. The pricing page states a 25% discount for annual subscriptions, which puts Starter at $29.25 per month on annual billing. LinkedIn account slots are sold separately at $69 per month per slot.

What is a Snov.io credit and what does it cover?

Snov.io's pricing page states that credits can be spent on prospect search, email search and email verification, and that each prospect found, email verified and company profile viewed costs 1 credit. A deliverability check costs 25 credits. Sending is metered separately through a recipient quota rather than through credits, so one balance covers finding, verifying and company research.

What is the best Snov.io alternative for prospecting only?

LeadSonar is the strongest pick when the job is finding, enriching and scoring contacts rather than sending them. It starts at $29 per month, runs a single monthly credit balance so scoring never eats the budget for reveals, and charges nothing when a lookup returns no result. On a 103,000-lead test, more than 91% of the leads LeadSonar scored came back above mid-tier quality, a B grade or better, on 2026 production data.

How many contacts does LeadSonar have?

LeadSonar draws on a 120M+ B2B contact database plus 45M+ B2C contacts. You pay for a contact only when the waterfall finds it, so the meter reflects results rather than a stale row from a static export. Search and filtering across that database cost nothing, and the meter starts only at the reveal.

Does LeadSonar charge for failed lookups?

No. LeadSonar stops the waterfall on the first source that returns a result and charges only for that found contact. When every source misses, the row is marked not found and nothing is billed. On CSV enrichment the billing is per filled cell, and unfilled cells are refunded at their per-field weight.

Is Snov.io worth it in 2026?

If you already run a sender, LeadSonar is usually the better value: quality contact data, ICP grading and enrichment from $29 per month, a single credit pool that never drain each other, and no charge when a lookup finds nothing. Snov.io earns its price when a solo founder wants prospecting plus drip campaigns, warm-up and a CRM in one subscription and has no separate sender yet.

What is the cheapest way to get quality B2B contact data?

LeadSonar's entry paid tier is $29 per month with 50,000 lead credits, and the free trial hands over 1,000 leads for 7 days with no card. Search and filtering cost nothing, and misses are absorbed rather than billed.

What is the difference between one credit pool and a single credit pool?

With one pool, every action draws down the same balance, so research and verification compete with each other inside a single monthly number. LeadSonar splits the balance in two: lead credits pay to reveal a contact, and enrichment credits pay for ICP scoring, AI company summaries, AI subject lines and email or phone enrichment. On the $29 Starter plan the lead pool holds 50,000 credits, and one cannot drain the other.

Methodology

Competitor data. Every Snov.io figure was captured from snov.io/pricing on July 20, 2026, supported by Snov.io's published credit and recipient definitions. Every figure here comes from those properties, and no review-site rating, forum post or third-party listicle was used. Prices in this category change quarterly, so re-check the vendor page before acting on any figure here. Values that could not be confirmed on the capture date, including annual per-month figures for the Pro tiers, were omitted rather than estimated.

LeadSonar data. Figures come from two 2026 production datasets. The ICP sample covers 103,000 scored B2B contacts and reports grade distribution (40.6% A, 50.8% B, over 91% at B-or-better), score distribution and company-type granularity. The outbound sample covers 37,040 US records and reports seniority mix, MX validity at 99.98% and a measured 0.55% hard-bounce rate on records that were actually mailed. Throughput of 23.5 profiles per second was measured on a 5,000-record bulk run, with roughly 85% of contacts resolved across the provider cascade. The 120M+ B2B and 45M+ B2C figures describe the database scale. LeadSonar plan prices were captured from leadsonar.io on July 20, 2026: the month-to-month figures ($29 Starter, $79 Growth, $199 Pro, $499 Scale) are published directly on the site.

Limitations. Both LeadSonar samples come from customer workloads skewed toward US B2B tech, marketing and consulting targets, so the seniority and industry mixes are not population-level figures. The measured trailing-30-day deliverability figure is 94.6%. LeadSonar has never benchmarked Snov.io's data, and no such comparison appears anywhere on this page.
